Finally the business mindset you need to make professional videos with confidence. And why if no one sees your video it can be a good thing.

One of the biggest fears I hear as a communication coach is when people ask “What if nobody watches my videos after all that effort?” Well, cricket’s on your video may feel like no one showed up to the party but it’s actually one of the biggest leaps in video growth you can make. Stay with me on this: in the beginning you might not be so great, look at my first videos, I was trying maybe a little too hard but I had to start somewhere and so do you. Now some of you will be amazing out of the gate! But for most of us, if no one sees your first video or even your first several they won’t see your shizzly first efforts and you will have made progress. Excellent!

And the people who wait for perfection will never put out a video or live stream and they will never make great videos for their personal brand. When you put out a video that is far from perfect and no one watches it may feel like two steps back. Honestly, it’s a step forward because now you’ve been on video without anyone judging you too much and you made a giant leap forward toward massive growth. You can watch your video back and ask yourself how can I improve for next time. Now you’re on the path to improving with each new effort until your videos are so worthy that people will follow you and you’ll build credibility.

Unless you put yourself out there in the first place you will not master video. And if no one watches it at first don’t take it personally. You are not your videos. Your videos are a product like anything else in your business or professional life.  Take the real world feedback and apply the lessons then rinse and repeat.
